Meet Jenn with Two Ns
In 2017, Pulp Literature Press began publishing novels, and over the course of five years we produced eight titles of which we are extremely proud: the first two Fairmount Manor Mysteries, the Allaigna’s Song trilogy, the first Monument Studios Mystery, the groundbreaking science fiction novel Advent by Michael Kamakana, and Matthew Hughes’s magnum opus What the Wind Brings.
However, since the release of The Extra and Allaigna’s Song: Chorale in late 2022, the workload of the magazine has prevented Mel and me from developing and releasing more long-format works. This is despite having, in the pipeline and ready to go, the third Stella novel and a collection of short fiction by Pulp Lit author Leo X Robertson.
This is why, when award-winning author and entrepreneur extraordinaire Jennifer Sommersby posted on socials that she’d like to start a publishing company, I asked her, “How about heading up an existing one?” She delighted us by saying yes.
Please allow us to introduce you to Jenn Sommersby, author of thirteen novels and three novellas, including award winners and bestsellers in multiple genres. Through her company SGA Books, she offers editorial services, publishing resources, and mentorship to authors. In her new role as head of novel acquisitions at Pulp Literature Press, she will be acquiring full-length novels, overseeing editorial, design, and production, and facilitating distribution and marketing.
With that, we are thrilled to announce our upcoming releases for 2025: Bar-Hopping for Astronauts: Stories from Our Universe by Leo X Robertson, Stella Ryman and the Search for Thelma Hu by Mel Anastasiou, and Freya by Carys Aerhart.
Please join us in welcoming Jenn (with two Ns) aboard to pilot this ship as it shoots for the stars!
~ Jen Landels
