From Pulp Literature Issue 49, find the opening pages of Jordan Bray‘s graphic short, ‘Nightwalks’, below.

Through ‘Nightwalks’, Jordan notes that he hopes to share a story that feels more grounded in who he is and that has real words (loosely qualifying it for a literary anthology). This graphic short has been hiding in a manila envelope under his couch cushions since the spring, and we are thrilled to unearth it with this issue.

To read this graphic short in its entirety, be sure to pick up a copy of Issue 49, Winter 2026.

We are happy to present Jordan Bray, who returns with a new graphic short, ‘Nightwalks’. Jordan’s work has featured in Pulp Literature issues 40 and 46 with excerpts from his silent graphic novel, The Drift (Wharfinger’s Press, 2025). ‘Nightwalks’ represents an experiment in capturing the melancholic and sometimes haunting beauty that Jordan often encounters when engaging with his favourite activity — stumbling around in the dark.
