Don’t let Episode 7 of the Pulp Lit Pulpit slip through the cracks without a listen or two!
In Episode 7, our editors discuss supporting characters in both novels and short stories. Being a writer with a dangerous tendency to focus all my creative energies on my protagonist, I loved what the editors had to say about crafting compelling supporting characters.

Be sure not to miss the second part of JJ Lee’s exclusive interview with Pulp Literature. As a refresher, JJ was one of the first authors we asked for a story for Pulp Lit and he gave ‘Built to Love’ (Pulp Literature Issue 2) featuring killer teddy bears. (Plus he painted a cover to go with it!) Since then he painted another cover for Issue 7 to go with Robert J Sawyer’s ‘Fallen Angel’, and we’ve published two of JJ’s ‘Man in the Long Black Coat’ stories in Issue 8 and Issue 24. You can learn more about what JJ is up to on his Twitter and on his website.
Also in Episode 7 Mel Anastasiou reads from Stella Ryman and the Fairmount Manor Mysteries where Stella continues her quest to prove her favourite care worker innocent and JM Landels reads from Allaigna’s Song: Overture where Irdaign meets her lover, the young Prince of Brandishear once more, and Allaigna meets her brother in battle for the first time!
