Tell Me a Story
H Pueyo and Dante Luiz are a creative duo and couple from southern Brazil. And we were delighted to publish their heartrending — but ultimately hopeful — graphic short ‘Sap & Seed’ in our latest issue.

H Pueyo is a writer of speculative and literary fiction, and her work has appeared in several venues, such as the Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, Clarkesworld, Fireside, and The Year’s Best Dark Fantasy and Horror. Dante Luiz is an illustrator, art director for Strange Horizons, and Mafagafo Revista, the interior artist of Crema, and an occasional writer of short and non-fiction.
They have collaborated on many comics, most frequently for Filthy Figments. To them, working together feels only natural, as they love creating stories (it’s how they met in the first place) and they’re mad about each other, so it’s combining business with pleasure. ‘Sap & Seed’ was originally published by Wayward Kindred, an anthology focused on monstrous families. You can find them on Twitter as @dntlz and @hachepueyo, where they might not post that much, but always update with their new projects and creations.
