Practising Failure
From Pulp Literature Issue 50, read the first two pages of Isabel Harvest‘s graphic short, ‘Lessons in Ballet’, below.
When speaking about her process, Isabel noted that ‘Lessons in Ballet’ was directly inspired by her recent experience in a beginner ballet class. She wanted to practise failure by trying an entirely new skill, but ended up learning so much more than dance technique. She strongly believes in putting oneself in strange and unique situations. Often, the very best inspiration comes from unfamiliar places.
