Revision, revision, revision!
While we each have our particular writing routines, habits, and superstitions, one thing we all have in common is the inevitable tussle with the beast of “revision.” It can be difficult to know where to start (and sometimes impossible to decipher those pesky hard copy margin notes!). In Episode 14 of the Pulp Lit Pulpit, the editors discuss how to apply feedback to one’s writing and share some great tips on how to make peace with the editing and revision process.
Also in Episode 14, you can look forward to an exclusive interview with author Rebecca Gomez Farrell who talks book organization and the daunting blank Word document. Becca’s story “Thlush-A-Lum” first appeared in Pulp Literature Issue 5 and has been reprinted in several anthologies since. Becca’s first full-length novel Wings Unseen was published in 2017 by Meerkat Press and the sequel, Wings Unfurled is set to release in 2022. Be sure not to miss Mel’s reading of Stella Ryman and the Fairmount Manor Mysteries as Stella reluctantly comes to a conclusion about the thief’s identity, and Jen’s reading from Allaigna’s Song where Allaigna takes a new interest in politics as history hits close to home.
