Battle of the Books!
It’s time to vote in the second bracket of the First Page Cage Match: Readers’ Choice division.
We editors have had the chance to select the eight first-page entries that enticed us enough to want to read more. The eight quarter-finalist authors then sent along the first ten pages (2500 words) of their manuscripts. We’ll cast our next votes soon enough, but we wanted to invite you, our keen-eyed readers, to join the fun!
Get a taste of the literary magic, and be among the first to experience the wonder of their words. Then be sure to cast your vote in our Readers’ Choice Poll, and help decide which author will reign supreme.
Read the first page of each story, and let the literary showdown begin!
In this corner, it’s …
The Pansy Paradox by Charity Tahmaseb, which you can read here.
And in this corner, it’s …
Henri & The Lion by MJ Malleck, which you can read here.
Vote in the readers’ choice division now!
Voting in this bracket closes Thursday, January 18th. And look forward to the next four stories, with a new bracket every Friday this month!
