Catch AM Dellamonica on the Podcast Before It’s Too Late!

There’s still time to say a tearful goodbye to Episode 5 of the Pulp Lit Pulpit before it leaves Podbean for good! We’re sad to see it go but we can’t wait to bring you new episodes with more discussions of writerly craft and more exclusive author interviews. On Episode 5 you can look forward to an editor discussion on what makes a compelling protagonist. How much background is too much? What should a protagonist want? What should they fear?

Episode 5 is also where you can catch a wonderful interview with author AM Dellamonica, who also writes as LX Beckett. They are the author of several novels and countless short stories. Pulp was proud to publish their story “Wrap Party” in Issue 25, Winter 2020. Their first novel, Indigo Springs, won the Sunburst Award for Canadian Literature of the Fantastic.  A Daughter of No Nation, their fourth novel, won the Prix Aurora in 2016. They teach writing at UTSC and online through the UCLA Extension Writers’ Program and are currently a student in the UBC Creative Writing Department’s MFA program. Don’t miss Alyx ruminating on hope, VR light sabers, and finding joy during the pandemic.

Mel Anastasiou reads from Stella Ryman and the Fairmount Manor Mysteries. In part five, Stella Ryman investigates the mystery of some missing money and finds herself backed into a corner–or perhaps we should say closet!

Also in Episode 5, JM Landels reads from Allaigna’s Song: Overture where our heroine begins to take on some of the responsibilities of growing up, receives two mysterious gifts, and meets three strangers at the Autumn fair in Teillai whom she’s sure to encounter again. And  in the past, her mother Lauresa sets off on a journey towards her wedding.
